Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need to Know
Question Answer Based For Our Learning Programs.
At Family First Early Learning Centre, we believe that building strong, trusting relationships from the very beginning is key to a smooth and positive transition into care, for both children and their families.
1. What age groups do you cater to?
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 4 years of age. To support their individual needs, children are grouped by stage: Nursery, Toddlers, and Pre-Kindy. This way, each child experiences learning and care that is right for their development.
2. How do your help children settle in when they first start
We know starting childcare can be emotional for both children and parents. That’s why we offer a gentle orientation process with short play sessions before their first full day. This helps your child feel safe and familiar in the new environment while also giving families peace of mind.
3. Are meals provided, and can you accommodate dietary needs?
Yes, we provide fresh, nutritious meals and snacks daily, including morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack. If your child has allergies or specific dietary requirements, we work closely with families to create safe and suitable alternatives.
4. How do you keep parents updated about their child’s day?
We use the OWNA App. to share updates in real time. You’ll receive photos, notes, and details about your child’s activities, meals, rest times, and learning goals. This helps families feel connected and informed, even when they can’t be at the centre.
5. How do fees work, and can we claim the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?
Most families are eligible for the Child Care Subsidy, which can significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs. We’re happy to guide you through the CCS process and answer any questions about how it applies to your situation. If you’d like, our team can walk you through the steps during enrolment to make it as simple as possible.
